In the article features of application SWOT-analysis as an effective means of improving the organization and management of cultural and artistic projects. The study authors discovered its advantages in the assessment of cultural values, the analysis of defects, predicting the risks and opportunities of project activities in the cultural sphere, determining the prospects of territorial development through the creation of experimental base of creative innovation.
